Third Annual Lenten Retreat - March 3-5, 2023

March 3-5 | Salvation and the Unseen World
Third Annual Lenten Retreat with Fr. Andrew Stephen Damick.

We are pleased to announce the parish’s Third Annual Lenten Retreat will be held on March 3-5, 2023 in the Sanctuary. We are blessed to have Fr. Andrew Stephen Damick, Chief Content Officer at Ancient Faith Radio; archpriest in the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America and former pastor of St. Paul Antiochian Orthodox Church of Emmaus, PA. Fr. Andrew is a beloved author and Ancient Faith podcaster.

On Friday, Fr. Andrew will be discussing with our Youth (and older!) about “Middle-earth and Christ,” using J.R. Tolkien’s mythical universe as a foundation to learn more about our faith. On Saturday, he will be speaking on the theme “Salvation and the Unseen World.” As Christians, we believe in an unseen world of angels, demons and saints. But does this unseen reality have any direct bearing on the core elements of what it means to be Christian? What do demons have to do with the gospel? Do angels have any relationship to salvation? How does paganism fit into the Biblical and Christian picture?

The cost of the retreat will be $15 for adults and $5 for students over 16 – scholarships are available (see Fr. Evan).
